Who we are: a choir of 25-30 voices based in the cathedral city of Chester and specialising in singing sacred music.
Here are some photos from our rehearsal for the Judges’ Service at St. John’s Church, Chester in October 2010. Our contribution was much appreciated by the congregation. Click on the thumbnail image to see a larger version of the photo.
What we do: we sing church music, especially the classic repertoire of great English cathedrals and parish churches. To celebrate the 400th anniversary of the King James Bible, we gave two concerts of music from the 16th and 17th centuries in conjunction with The Chester Viols.
When you can hear us: see the “Forthcoming Events” list on the left or listen to the audio tracks on this site. Here's a lively anthem recorded on a visit to Hungary. How about planning now for a concert in 2012? Click on the “contact us” tab to send us a message so that we can discuss the options.
Where you can hear us: mainly in and around Cheshire unless we are visiting a UK cathedral or on tour further afield. We were at St. Edmundsbury Cathedral (Bury St. Edmunds) on 22nd and 23rd October 2011 to sing the services and much enjoyed our visit.
A high point in 2010 was our participation in the Judges’ service in Chester, which is one of the major events of the civic calendar.
